TEENS & YOUNG ADULTS THERAPY

TEENS & YOUNG ADULTS

Transitioning into adulthood can be both exciting and difficult at the same time. It can stir-up conflicting feelings caused by no longer being viewed as a child, yet not quite feeling settled into the role of an independent adult. During this period we are confronted with challenging decisions both personally and professionally, which often times this can be confusing given being faced with the pressures and expectations from our family, peers, and society about what the next step “should be.”

My goal is to help you explore your values, identity, strengths, and interests in order to assist in facilitating you to create the life you want to live.

Therapy for young adults often focus on:

  • Identity development

  • Contemplating career choices or options

  • Understanding their meaning or purpose in life

  • Creating healthy relationships and boundaries

  • Struggling with dating and friendships

  • Sexuality and sexual orientation (LGBTQ)

  • Learning how to effectively manage stress

  • Balancing multiple responsibilities

  • Increasing confidence and self-esteem

  • Issues of college & graduate school students
